its hard to argue with the top 4 because im sure those are at the top of most lists, probably somewhat because of popularity but after that, there's some tossups i think. i havent seen everything on this list, like the french connection even though i hear its a classic too...

and where's all the people that will be like omg scarface should be #1...i like it cause of the theme music but its not a top 5 imo

I didn't like Untouchables but I haven't seen it in a long time. I would L.A. Confidential way up there, what a classic.

Ergo keeps telling me to watch Heat, but it's always 2 am and we're both drunk when he thinks of these things.

City of God was indeed awesome, and I'm glad to see it so high on the list.

Dog Day Afternoon and The Big Sleep are underrated, and Fresh should be on that list.

I haven't seen/heard of it, so I'll have to do something about it.

I'm surprised that Gangs of New York isn't on that list, that movie is fantastic! I also hoped that Hoodlums was on the list, I really enjoy that movie.

I've seen the French Connection and wasn't that impressed.

I loves the full 3 hour glory of heat. All of those movies listed are greats, and I'm glad to see Heat up there.

I have indeed tried to get StillFuchsia to watch it, but its always 2 am when I remember I have it.

^thx

I watched Godfather pt. 1 and 2 and Heat and the last month. All three were great, but I don't really see the relevance of the flashback in Godfather II. And does anyone else think that'd it's pretty irresponsible for cops to pursue bank robbers through public areas knowing the robbers are armed with automatic weapons?

so cops should not do their jobs for fear of being irresponsible?

yeah definitely there should be certain designated decommisioned zones in each state where robbers can only be apprehanded by the police.

IIRC, cops quit pursuing in high speed chases when suspects enter a residential neighborhood. Trading gun fire in a fucking grocery store parking lot with ample human shields ain't exactly that much different.

I like The Usual Suspects at number two only behind the first Godfather. And Scarface is the most overrated movie of all fucking time.
