This is called "Tropicalia Fever." You'll get over it and enjoy the album in a few years.

Guero was a total piece of hot ass garbage. I listened to The Information once all the way through so far and I thnk it is a lot better. I think it will grow on me. Guero never grew on me.

Odelay and Midnite Vultures were way awesome though. Sea Change was amazing too. differences are that Beck actually tried to do different stuff. With Guero, he just tried to do Odelay over again, and it was bad.

I've only listened to it twice so far, but, for the most part, I think it's a really boring album. And, after buying the retarded super special edition, I probably ended up listening to Guero all of five or ten times.

I like it, or at least I like the three songs off of it that I have.

I wouldn't necessarily call it original (for Beck, anyway), but it's got some style.

I can't think of any really good album that came with stickers, but I can also only remember "Mary Star of Sea" and "Transistor" coming with them.

^^ Think more towards Midnite Vultures, but less singing: more talky-rap type vocals.

It's also not as wildly poppy/techno.

Cell Phone's Dead and Elevator Music are, as far as the background rhythm is concerned.

No Complaints, Dark Star, Soldier Jane are more Guero-y.

Every single Beck album has disappointed me when I first got it... then by the time the next one comes out, I love the last one so much that I go out and buy the new one. Repeat cycle.

No complaints.

[Edited on October 4, 2006 at 10:21 PM. Reason : I didn't realize "No Complaints" was one of the songs. I was just saying that I have no complaints.]

finally listened to the cd but its an avg beck cd for me. By track 7 or 8 I was waiting to hear what type of drum beat he was using and i could pretty much figure out where the song was going.

it's ok. alot better than that POS excuse of a record, Guero.

I wish he'd wisen up and dump all this scientology horse. It makes him look like an idiot.
