we need to be pulling for wake over clemson. a wake team at 2-0 is better than clemson team at 3-0.

wake's going to lose a couple of acc games later this season, so i'm not worried about them sitting at 2-0 coming into our game. secondly, it will motivate our players more if wake beats a good clemson team - they won't sleep on wake. lastly, it might make the wake players overly confident to be 6-0.

clemson is in the other division, but they're a favorite to win it. anything that'll hinder their confidence and chances of getting to jacksonville is better for us (assuming we get to jacksonville). i'd rather face anyone from the coastal other than clemson and georgia tech.

finally, bowl implications. as i said, it's more likely that wake will lose more games than clemson. we need clemson to get as many losses as possible so that we have a better chance at the better bowls.

there are so many things wrong with that post.


Clemson is first of all 2-1 in the ACC right now, so we're still ahead of them even if they win. Secondly, they're in our division, and we have to play them this year...at Clemson.

We still need wake to win though.
