what do you have against snipers?

there is no more surgical instrument of war than a sniper. in general, there is no more effective way to positively strike a target and avoid collateral damage.

not to mention the fact that .30 cal rounds are a lot cheaper than a Mk-8x or a JDAM, a tank round, jet fuel, etc.

oh, and they are invaluable from an intel perspective, which increases the effectiveness of other assets.

1. This video is old as hell and there is a second video taken from this same firefight where PMCs are fighting alongside Marines and soldiers from this compound in Najaf. I have it on my comp if anyone wants it.

2. Im with Duke on this one, I wouldnt consider these guys snipers in the role shown in the vid. sharpshooters or marksmen may be a little better, i dont know.

^ Exactly, they are more or less synonymous. However they are a far cry from being synonymous with sniper. Plus he's using something similar to the MK 12 SPR.
