Pregame lunch:

Olive oil with fresh Rosemary from the garden marinate.

4 chicken legs.

Cook on low, each side for a few minutes. Then finish up in the oven

Haven't decided what sides yet. I do have some lettuce, arugula, tomatoes and other stuff from the garden for a salad.

They were amazing! A Japanese friend's mother use to make them when I was in HS. I had some left over grilled chicken and decided that I would give the wontons a shot. I think that the wontons may be my new stand by for left over chicken.

Tuna marinated in teriyaki, sesame oil, olive oil, lemon, chili, garlic and ginger with broccoli tossed with sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar and sesame seeds. I wish you weren't supposed to limit tuna to a few times a month. I swear I could eat it every day.

soaked some squirrel legs in lightly salted water for about 24 hrs in the fridge. drained, rinsed, boiled them with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, onion powder, and minced garlic for about an hour. drained, pulled them through some mixed up egg and breaded them with italian style breadcrumbs with some extra pepper. browned them in olive oil in cast iron pan.

absolutely delicious.

My brother's gf and her son will be coming over for dinner tonight for the third time this week. Again, I've got stew beef in the crock pot and will be adding cornmeal dumplings soon. I'm also going to bake an old fashioned double crust strawberry pie.

I love being all domestic.

Breaking in my new le creuset cast iron french oven!

Cooking some bone-in/skin-on chicken breasts with red potatoes, cremini mushrooms, and brussel sprouts. Lemon, rosemary, garlic, and red pepper to season. Yum.

On the fly, just roast them with olive oil and salt. These are going in with a recipe though.

My go-to sides when I'm lazy are brussel sprouts and golden baby potatoes. Easy, delicious, and cheap.

^^ I do them that way as well. If I serve them to someone who thinks they hate Brussels sprouts, then I peel them first and serve them like wilted greens. rwoody taught me that trick.

I like to add fresh garlic as well.

Amazing side. And the best part is telling people that they're eating a food they think they hate.

Pancetta is a nice addition as well. But very unnecessary. They're great with garlic, salt and olive oil.
