I've had several ppl tell me it does, but I can't get a call to the UK to connect - I keep getting "Your call cannot be completed as dialed..."
I'm typing 01144.xxx.xxx.xxxx

Given that cute webhit countter on the frontpage, I'm going to say it's a startup company that has some sort of VoIP going on behind the scenes. I'll also venture a guess that somehow they have some cash they can float on for a little while until they can generate revenue on their own ... from whatever services/products they actually intend to sell.
(Click on the counter, and magic! Apache/2.0.53 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.53 OpenSSL/0.9.7f DAV/2 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/4.4.1 Server at http://www.futurephone.com Port 80)
And if somebody can find a more extensive WHOIS lookup, kudos: Record expires on 05-Sep-2011 Record created on 06-Sep-1996 Database last updated on 05-Oct-2006

Why are we giving away calls for free?
If we can gain your confidence in our company and services, we hope to introduce other products and services to you in the future.
How long will it remain FREE?
Our plan is to keep this services free for the next three years, which will take us to 2010. 10/11/2006 11:08:18 PM |

you could just have the people in the UK call you on a free UK phone number that forwards calls to your VoIP client like Skype
