Quote :
"EVANS HAS MILD CONCUSSION: N.C. State quarterback Daniel Evans suffered a mild concussion during the final drive of the game, his father, Wolfpack radio analyst Johnny Evans, said. Evans said Daniel is “expected to be just fine” but noted that team physicians will monitor his son’s progress closely before allowing him to engage in contact. The redshirt freshman apparently suffered the blow about three plays before game’s end, when he was tackled hard on the sideline, Johnny Evans said. Evans said his son reported that he didn’t remember the last few plays of the game but that Pack offensive coordinator Marc Trestman told Daniel he still made the right calls."

i dunno what it is but the last sentence looks funny.

I looked at the video from the game and I don’t see any signs of a concussion. Although it is

very possible that he did get one. It is my opinion that the ball just sailed on him because

there was an open receiver coming across the field that Evans appeared to be throwing to.

Wake Forest should have had the interception at the beginning of the drive anyways.

I don’t blame Evans though, he played a great game and he is certainly the right guy for the job.

thats quite a pathetic press release... basically it said "my son had a head injury and thats why he messed up...except that his coordinator said he did good... so how awesome are we...oh yeah but he doesn't remember it anyway...did i mention im his dad?"

when he threw the interception, it didn't look like a characteristic Evans throw

that's probably the only play I've seen him be a bit shaky and indecisive. Granted, the whole drive was a bit off from the get go, but that play was much more prominent.

If he had a concussion, then it makes sense

If the pressure was too much, then it makes sense

either way, I don't care

On that last drive when he was running to the left and was tackled, it looked like he took a knee to the head by accident. After he was slow to get up, I wondered how effective he would be.

I don't care what caused the game ending interception...did you see the kid pick low snaps up off the ground and still make completions?
He is awesome, but still inexperienced. I didn't think that throw looked like him, however it also appeared to me that he got hit from behind while he was throwing.

I love that someone giving the actual account of what happened is automatically named an "excuse maker". Good grief. Give the kid a break

he was gettin hit pretty hard while throwing, i remember him gettin up slow after a few passes

and as far as concussions go, sometimes if they are BAD concussions u can feel them on the field

i've had a few on the field as a QB and the mild ones really arent that noticable and bad on teh field but after teh game is when u really feel them and find out. As far as on the field, u just take it as getting rattled and you think u can continue playing...its part of the game.

so he may have been injured but a mildy wouldnt have that much impact on his game.

the pick was forced from the behind tackle by the way.

yeah I bet you could add 4 completions to Evan's stats if he got every snap where he should while in the shotgun. I dont understand how Leroy can be so consistently bad at the shotgun snap. I feel like every one is below Evans' knees.

yea, i blame the loss on the center

a shitton of low snaps and there was that time where he forgot to snap it and the whole team got a false start

I think I would have run into a wall Gus Frerotte style to get out of today's game. Hell, I might do it in a minute to forget about it.
