I took the class 3 semesters ago and dropped the lab. Now im taking the lab and have forgotten some of the concepts. Im just wondering if anyone can offer any help. How would i go about doing these?
three questions
1) calculate the pH of 10.0 mL of 0.1 M HCl plus 5.0 mL of 0.1 M NaOH
2) calculate the pH of 10.0 mL of 0.1 M NH4Cl
3) calculate the pH of 10.0 mL of 0.1 M NaC2H3O2 10/15/2006 7:15:02 PM |

Best bet would be to contact a student in CH 201 as a regular study partner, and for supplemental info to seek out Dr. Warren (GreatGazoo / robert_warren@ncsu.edu), who's always got extra time for students. Right now you might have a few specific answers to get by, but it's going to catch up as the pre- and post-labs become more advanced. 10/16/2006 5:41:32 AM |

actually i've already looked at the wikipedia site and i still dont know how to do these. its easy to figure out the ones where its only HCl or only NaOH but these where there are weird compounds (NH4Cl & NaC2H3O2) i cant figure out what to do and also the first one has a base and an acid and im not sure how to factor those in b/c im sure they cancel eachother out to some extent 10/16/2006 6:19:22 PM |
