For those blaming Trestman....
We ran the ball 37 times, including 7 from Evans. We passed the ball 26 times.
If you assume at least half of those runs by Evans were intended to be passes then it's more like 33-30 run to pass.
Maryland ran 41 times and passed 9.
We had 3 turnovers, they had 1
They had more sacks than we did but I don't have those exact numbers.
The problem was not play calling or game plan... it was execution. We actually had more total offense than the Twerps but key penalties and turnovers cost us the game. Place the blame where it truly belongs. Don't just look for a scapegoat. 10/21/2006 3:27:39 PM |

the problem on offense was blocking...the playcalling was stupid at times with draws on 2nd down in the 4th quarter when you're down 2 td's, but with good blocking, they can be a good change of pace and shorten the yardage for a 3rd down conversion. when your blocking is piss poor though, its just a waste of a down and often times a loss of yardage. 10/21/2006 3:29:20 PM |

Play calling wasnt that bad today but the offensive line was just fucking horrible.
We look so good at some points and we always shit ourselves. Two plays into the second half and we had two turnovers. Thats the game, and we still had a shot to win, but yet another turnover. We just suck. 10/21/2006 3:30:39 PM |

blocking was bad at times on pass plays too. running the ball keeps them honest and keeps them from bringing the house on every down. 10/21/2006 3:32:31 PM |

there were at least 5 runs up the middle after we were down 20. maybe more. this was after they stopped abotu the first 10 and caused a few fumbles on runs up the middle
if you dont call those extra 5 runs up the middle we wouldve had a few minutes at the end of the game. 10/21/2006 3:34:39 PM |

If a bullfrog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass. If time was on the clock Maryland wouldn't have just downed the ball at the end and our defense couldn't stop them. Our O'line sucked and Evans was having a bad day. We couldn't just throw on every down. 10/21/2006 3:37:35 PM |

The o-line is oerhaps the most important and least appreciated asset of any team. 10/21/2006 3:42:35 PM |

umm most of our passes are 5 yards or less so those are just like running the ball. i just hate this west coast offense...its just like for our bball team, let them open it up and run (deep or >10-15 yards).10/21/2006 5:31:22 PM |
