But New Orleans is winning....
Mario has gotten better in each of his last 3 games.
Im just saying the Bush people say well the Saints are winning when it really has nothing to do with Bush.

i know, but i just wanted to dig at the bush cocksuckers.
on a somewhat related note, peppers has 8 sacks now. he's on pace to top strahan's most sacks in a season record.

I think the more telling stat would be how many double-teams/chip blocks mario is drawing, versus how many 7 or 8 in the box defenses bush is drawing.

You don't really believe it has NOTHING to do with Bush, do you? I mean that's just dumb. He may not be the biggest reason, he certainly is part of the reason.10/23/2006 3:07:19 PM |

houston's not in last place in their division anymore
I mean shit, Houston at 2-4 after beating the Jaguars is better than most people would expect them to be this year 10/23/2006 3:11:01 PM |

A healthy Andre Johnson is huge. I think that if their RB (who for the life of me I can't remember his freaking name right -- which doesn't exactly help my argument) is healthy they are a 6-7 win team this year.
^ actually this year they would be imo. Bush is clearly better then Lundy..

and yea this year the texans might be better w/ bush, but only b/c of davis' injury 10/23/2006 3:14:48 PM |

Dominick Davis was a decent RB when healthy. Not as good as Deuce, but that wasn't a position of more need than DE.
^What he said

davis had over 1,000 yards the past two seasons. they didn't need another rb. their defense was last, or next to last, in the nfl. they need help on defensely badly. 10/23/2006 3:16:32 PM |

Domanick Davis is a very solid back if he can stay healthy. Now that Carr is getting more than abysmal blocking, the Texans have a shot of 5-6 games. 10/23/2006 3:25:01 PM |

Bush is having a big impact on the Saints and their success. His damn punt return won one game and his versatility makes their offense go. Just listen to what the other Saints players like Horn, Brees, McAllister all have to say about his impact on the opposing D by him just being on the field.10/23/2006 3:30:20 PM |

and if you check the thread i made about bush being a flop, you'll see i didnt literally think he would be a flop, but more a good player, but not the great superstar the media hyped him to be
he is doing pretty well, i'm not hating on him except in the context of this intentionally-troll/sarcasm thread 10/23/2006 4:00:20 PM |

I guess that means that the Cardinals, if they get the #1 pick this year, should draft Brady Quinn first, just in case Matt Leinart gets injured or something...
If they knew that they wouldn't have Davis this year, then yes bush might have been a better choice. But you have to get starters before you can start spending top picks on depth, and if a team has a #1 pick, it means they are gonna need an immediate upgrade in at least a few places. 10/23/2006 4:40:13 PM |

0 rushing td's eh? how many rushing yards does he have though?
anyone can score a touchdown
but to consistently gain yardage, that's where you set yourself ahead of everyone else

the Saints' biggest acquisition from last year to this year is Drew Brees
thats a no brainer
they have a quality quarterback instead of a horrible shitty QB
Brees is the reason they are doing as well as they are this year

Archie Griffin might argue with that with his 2 Heismans and all.

Instead of questioning why it's taking so long to get so many New Orleanians back into their homes or watching all four hours of Spike Lee's "When The Levees Broke: Requiem," the country has adopted the Saints as its own team, a selfless act considering how much joy those old jokes about the "Aints" brought the nation." |
i hate this crap...i'm not rooting for the saints, so stop telling me that i am. i dont know a single person that likes the saints, other than one friend who was born in new orleans.
the rest of the column is spot on. its pretty much my exact argument right after the draft. its not slammin bush necessarily; its just sayin that its in no way, shape, or form a disastrous pick to take williams over bush, and the first half of the season has shown it.11/13/2006 1:17:40 PM |

you're crazy, bush is the BEST PLAYER EVER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL, even if you already have a runningback that fits in your system and you're trying to build a defense, you're CRAZY not to take him #1 overall, he's just that damn good. 11/13/2006 1:21:46 PM |
