great wrs good and old oline great backs decent qb good tes
lbs will have more experience guys like ernest jones cash and others its gonna suck to lose lowery good dline great secondary (maybe minus 1 corner bradley levin or somebody will have to step up as the 2nd corner)

Here's who we lose for sure on defense and offense that contributed significantly or added depth:
Defense DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler - DT Pat Lowery - LB Reggie Davis - LB Garland Heath - ROV John Amanchukwu - DE A.J. Davis - CB
Offense Merci Falaise - OT James Newby - OT Jon Holt - OT Leroy Harris - OG/C Lamart Barrett - WR
Special Teams John Deraney - PK/P William Lee - LS
We also lose primarily scout team players Vance Proctor (ROV) and Orick Quick (LB). 10/23/2006 6:19:01 PM |

Wow, losing that much up front will make it hard on our QB to make plays and our RBs to run the ball effectively. I sure hope our young (currently redshirting) LB corps will be effective next year because it'll be up to our defense once again. 10/23/2006 6:46:46 PM |

Let's try and predict what our depth chart will look like next year. 10/24/2006 12:01:32 AM |
PackMan03 All American 4594 Posts user info edit post |
Offense: TB Andre Brown - jr FB Toney Baker - jr QB Daniel Evans - jr WR John Dunlap - sr WR Darrell Blackman - sr TE Anthony Hill - sr LT Julian Williams - so LG Kalani Heppe - sr C Luke Lathan - sr RG Curtis Crouch - jr RT Meares Green - jr
Defense: S Dajuan Morgan - jr S Miguel Scott - sr CB Jimmie Sutton - sr CB Levin Neal - jr WLB Ernest Jones - sr MLB Lerue Rumph - sr SLB James Martin - sr DE Willie Young - so DT DeMarrio Pressley - sr DT Martrel Brown - sr DE Raymond Brooks - jr
On offense, our Oline will take the most hits and we'll count on steady rotations including those above with Yomi Ojo and Jerail McCuller also. All the skill positions are basically going to stay the same with Donald Bowens coming in on 3 receiver sets. (Dark horses: Justin Burke, Johnathan Hannah) On defense, I'm counting on our senior LBs to step up and play to their potential with the talented young LBs we have pushing them for time (Vogt, Irving, Ware, Michel). If they don't, some if not all of those young guys will split time. Also, I'm counting on one of our current end (Brown or Brooks) to be converted into the other tackle position to give Young a starting job and getting more of a pass rush. (Dark horses: Cedrick Hickman, Audi Augustin)

^^Who the fuck is Peterson?
I remember that when I was a freshman, Jatavis Sanders entered the spring as our #1 QB. Rivers was elevated to first string after 3 practices
Jatavis left for Indiana State or some shitty 1-AA school, and Junior College transfer Olin Hannum was the backup/option QB on occasion. Then Jay Davis came in and backed up Rivers for 3 years. 10/25/2006 2:47:50 AM |

peterson was our great athlete that played wr. he was a great hs qb but not cut out for college qb. we always ran the screen laterall play to him and he would throw it deep, run it or throw it back to rivers who would then throw deep run it or throw it back to peterson (jk on hte last throw back but sometimes he would throw it back to rivers who would go deep) 10/25/2006 3:18:31 AM |

the louisville game will be a full circle game because it will almost definately be at about this time of the year with at least one team undefeated and one team at least somewhere in the top 20. college gameday will finnally be back in raleigh.
these three raod games we could lose to spoil the louiville from being top 5(if we unbeaten) top 15(if we lose 1) top 20 or just top 25 if we lose all 3. gameday will be here regardless because a top 5 team visiting a top 25 team this late ooc
flroida state-they will be great next year. this is a road game. possibly gameday we get up so we can win against a true freshman qb. chuck always knows what bowden is going to do
wake-another road game. probobly a brookes and dunn game. we always struggle against wake
miami-miami will still be talented. this si still a south florida rivalry game. they will have a good caoch but will struggle but this will be homecoming for them and we will be looking ahead to the big showdown next week. they may have as little as 1 or 2 losses at this point. another possible gameday
if we get through at least 1 of those 3 games louisville will be the biggest game ever in ncstate football. if we get through them all it will be the biggest game of the national college football season. lock for gameday in raleigh
then we sail on with 2 easy wins.
i got us somewhere between 8-4 and 11-1
we could get 2 bcs teams next year since us and fsu will be so good. the loser will get an at large bid if thats the only loss 11/6/2006 1:44:01 PM |

it doesn't do you any good to have a qb to throw the ball if your recievers can't catch it 11/6/2006 2:04:09 PM |

^^^The only part of Derany's 3 jobs that has struggled has been his FG's. He is still punting & kickoff off very well. But his FG struggles this year is probably due to the fact that he has to do all 3 jobs (& that our long snapping has sucked). Besides, what do you expect when you have a punter doing FG duty?
Deraney is a great player. Do not knock him.
^Our recievers can catch it. It is our RB's & TE that can't.

If we lose to clemson, and we dont play some of the younger players that have already been redshirted in our last few games to give them experience for next year....then I'm going to personally slit Amato's throat. He should have been playing guys like Ray Michel all year, and he even has some players that should have had some redshirts burned..especially at LB. Younger offensive linemen should get 90 percent of the snaps against ECU and UNC. I dont fucking care if we lose as long as we're trying something new, cause the old way isnt fucking working. 11/6/2006 3:33:42 PM |

the way i look at it
5 games are losable. no way we lose more than 4 of them. unless some people go nfl early or we fire chuck and get a decent coach
