I know that a DS can access personal wireless networks, my question is: Can a DS connect to Nomad on campus?
The reason I ask is that I am thinking about getting a DS, especially since it will get an Opera browser in December. I want to know if I could authenticate with Nomad and browse (almost) anywhere on campus.
I am hoping that since the DS will use a standard web browser, Nomad will just transfer it to the authentication page.
For now, i suppose the only answer can come from trying to play Mario Kart or Metroid Hunters (or any WiFi DS game for that matter) through Nomad. 10/23/2006 9:36:51 PM |

natively, no. I suspect you could authenticate through opera though. 10/23/2006 9:44:30 PM |

No, you can't register the MAC with nomad. Maybe when Opera comes out you can though. 10/23/2006 11:58:01 PM |

The DS web browser is already out in Japan.
Since a DS is region-free, all you have to do is import one.
At least, I assume that is how FanatiK did it... 10/24/2006 9:14:41 PM |

^correct.
Any of you guys used the PSP to web browse? It's a tiny bit better than that on the DS, but still not something I would ever want to do. 10/25/2006 12:37:01 PM |
