I've got a ~7 inch, ~ 6 month old Mali uromastyx. He's in good shape and eats really well, but is a bit skittish. They calm down easily with enough handling. I just do not have the time to enjoy it as much as I should, so maybe you do. Asking $65 for him. I also have a nice set-up for it too. It is a molded, black plastic pond filled halfway with sand. I think it is about 130 gallons. And a heat lamp, and artciles on Uromastyx care. Set-up for $45. PM me for details, and sorry, I don't have a digital camera to put up pics, but glad to show him. Thanks.

^^^ yea that is an ornate uro

Malis are a yellow & black color. males are brighter vs females who are duller in appearance.

you can buy a captive bred mali hatchling off a breeder for anywhere from $30-$100
Petstores usually price them around $60-$100. but no guarantee that they're captive bred
ornates go for $150-$400 depending on color.

i have a Saharan (or Nigerian) Uro. One of the more difficult varieties to keep

they make great pets and have good temperments if captive bred and handled often.

I would recommend keeping him on birdseed. too often young uros have problems with impactions from eating sand. Birdseed is a good supplement to their diet and looks nice as a substrate. (just some advice)

good luck getting him a home. if anyone needs any info about keeping them pm me.

He comes with a bag of birdseed that I have been feeding him, also with some calcium supplement.
