As the class choices get thinner, I found I dont really like or dont know about many of the topics/courses allowed for my engineering in the STS and Ethic groups. Dunno about other engineering degrees but mechanical gives you a ethics choice of 5, and an STS choice of about 50. There isnt much feedback on any of the classes. Any engineers got suggestions or some feedback on classes they took for these requirements, particularly the ethics?

I am ME and am taking STS 322 for the "STS" spot and took STS 302 for the "Other Spot"

I am currently co-oping so I am taking 322 distance ed and it is real easy.

302 was over the summer and was real easy. A bunch of reading, but just 4 multiple choice tests. If you take it during a regular semester you have to do a project.

STS 320 online is pretty easy but there is alot of reading that you are supposed to do. The only thing with online classes is make sure you actually check the site from time to time during the day.

Mrs. Heeter told me a little while ago that if you use your STS elective choice to take one of the items listed for ME majors in the "Ethics" elective section, then you can substitute any elective from any category in the "Ethics" section. Sounds conviluted, I know, but that's what she said.

^So sorta like two birds, one stone? Thanks for the help everyone, so looking at an online course in the sts section would be the way, at least for now.

I'm on coop right now and im taking 320 and 322. 322 is easy as hell, 320 requires you to do something for it about every other day. reading every week, writing on that reading, and you have ot make 6 posts in teh discussions per week, write a 2-3 page paper about once a month, and a final project. I think 320 has been pretty interesting so far. 322 is definetly one of those easy as hell classes.

I just realized 322 was the only one that interested me, Technological Catastrophes, but it only had restricted STS majors left when I registered.

I am taking both STS 320 and STS 322 online right now, both fairly easy, like said you just have to check back frequently as to not miss discussions and getting locked out.
