i figured it would be mostly light metal. time to time something pops up at home that needs some welding attn.
if i needed to, i can take something to work where the welders are heavier duty if needed..

but do you think something like this is exhaust worthy?? or mainly for metal crafts at home, like earings .

ive been debating this for a while, my brother wants to get one for us. i want something good, but i dont know if my house can handle something like that. but then again i could always take stuff to work and weld it.

i mean for $80 you cant really go too wrong if you get some use out of it.

ive only used flux core a few times and didnt really get used to it or any good w/ it.

10-15% duty sucks....

we would have never got senior design done w/ that crap.

but it would work for craft stuff i just know for anything i would use a welder for its nearly useless.

i could probably get away with 10% duty cycle

but i would prefer for it to at least have the gas hookups, even if i kept it loaded with flux-core sometimes.

still, $80...i wonder if they have harbor freight in FL

but i don't know...i'm kind of a fan of "buy well, buy once."

i've always hated using flux-core and 10% duty is gonna suck but for $80 i dunno, guess it'll do the job if you need it every now and then
