limited resources for their recruits(being morman and all isnt THAT common)

they have to go on a mission at some point and drop off the map for 2 years.

They just won the mountain west title and beat wyoming 55-7.

Id say its one of the most impressively ran organizations from a coaching stand point in the nation.

2 extra years of eating and growing bigger

its not that easy to be able to work out; because if u go and work out your assigned companion has to go with you. And chances are they wont be as into working out as you would be

^^about 35 out of 109 people on their roster are from utah

very true, but most are.

do any of yaw remember back a few years ago when BYU was in the NCAA tournament (basketball) and they said if they made it to the 2nd round they would forfeit because that game would be played on a sunday? From what I remember the Chairman to the NCAA Board over the tournament said the game would be moved to the day earlier so they wouldnt have to play. To me, thats impressive to stand my your standards like that.

BYU takes a lot of non-mormons to play for their sports teams and it pisses off the mormons, because the mormons don't get scholarships, but the non-mormons do.

You are joking right? This is one of the main reasons why I left the Mormon church. Too much emphasis on just going through the movements. Just like the schools stance on tattoos, piercings and facial hair. Besides, they play sunday games throughout the season. but they decided to make a statement then? Why? Why would you do it then? Oh yeah, the PR move.

YBU is a shit university run by anti-intellectual codgers who blackmail the faculty and student body into behaving like robots for fear that they might get excommunicated. See michael Quinn and the black soc professor who lost his job for addressing racism with in mormonism. The gerontocracy at YBU is destroying the University's image in the rest of the academic world. And let's not forget about FAIR/FARMS and the non-academic bullshit that is produced by the Mormon apologists paid for by YBU and the rest of the Church.

Instead of refuting me, just bring up the part about me being an ex-mormon. I guess if we follow the BKP line of strawman arguments I should be asking to see your horns

I'm pretty sure there was scripture written 2000 years ago that expressly stated Mormons aren't christian.

I always get a laugh from the evangelicals who claim some other form of christianity is not christianity.

Of all the things to make fun of mormons for being, it is not for being no christian

In reality, if we examine the christianity of today compared to the christianity of AD 70 when it was pretty much created, no demonination or sect would be considered chrisitian.

Let's not forget that most of all Jesus was a judaic reformer.

Christianity was created well after his death.

institutionalizing christianity has of course changed it, but there is a growing new monasticism and new church movement.

and yes calling mormons christians hurts christians who dont want to be associated with their ideals, thats the only reason i care

what about the Christians who do not want to be associated with the fruitbag pentacostals and the evangelical christians? So should we quit calling them christians just because it hurts other christians who do not want to be associated with their ideals?

obviously you don't pick up on sarcasm well.

You really don't know much about early christianity. Monasticism was a creation well after Christianity had been established. Furthermore, arianism, pelagianism and monophysitism, are much closer to the teachings of the Jesus, but yet through over 1,000 years of demonization they have been called heresies. Are they not christian?

What you view as being purely christian is something that only has the life span of 600 years at most, unless you are roman catholic then it dates back 1600 years.
