re-passed? Is that like when Big Ben drugs some chick then when she is unconscious, he has sex with her, then she wakes up, then he drugs her again and she "re-passes" out and he rapes her again? just wondering

do we even have any steelers fans on here? or did all of their cow-sized wives/sisters ban them from the internet like those amish fucks do once the steel industry collapsed?

I'd like to see him in the hall of fame too but all time passing stats are pretty much the most skewed useless thing in sports nowadays, still though great game and he should be heading for another pro bowl

The NFL HOF is relatively easy to make compared to MLB. If Rivers can get into the Top-10 in a few categories, he will be a decent bet to make it.

yeah, also would be a big help on who all else is eligible in his first and second years (when most people are inducted). Weak class and he will probably get in

Phil might be able to crack the top-10 in TDs this season (needs 15 more)

needs about 18 more games to get in the top-10 passing yards (averaging 250 ypg)

he's going to finish this regular season 1st in completions and attempts, and 2nd in passing yards (only because Brees had a huge game)

...and the 3rd worst record in the NFL

Poor guy

The game where he threw for 500 yards and no picks and still lost was a microcosm for the season. He gets absolutely nothing from the team around him

Was catching some of the highlights of yesterday's game and what a freaking shock that the INT he threw was due to a receiver letting it go right through his hands. Rivers is not without blame for some of the struggles in his career, but good Lord the team around him now is just awful.

Wonder what the Bolts will do with the 3rd pick. OL maybe? Big time WR to pair with Allen? Defense - upgrades needed everywhere. I'm hoping OL or WR in order help Rivers.

I'll pretty much always cheer for him unless SD is playing the Panthers. He isn't a quitter.

1. We don't need injuries to suck.

2. We're not up in the 4th quarter and lose. We're up in the 1st quarter and lose by 20 or more.

He had the chance, but signed that extension. He is just another Dan Fouts unfortunately. Should have gone to free agency, but no QBs make it to free agency in the NFL.

Honestly for Rivers a no trade clause was a good move. He has eleventy kids. No reason to uproot your family because you got traded to the Browns or the Redskins. I'm sure he could waive that clause if he wanted to and the right team wanted him.

Just a hunch, but I seriously doubt any of those trades would happen. I don't think the Broncos would trade two QBs and picks for Rivers. I don't think Rivers would waive his no trade clause to go to the Redskins or Jaguars.

Quote :
"Here are a few trades I think make sense under these auspices:

To the Denver Broncos for Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, a future first-round pick and a future second-round pick

In Siemian and Lynch, the Broncos have an interesting quarterback tandem for the future. Siemian has not looked overmatched in his outset, and Lynch has the tools to be a solution in the short-term future. What they don't have is the kind of win-now quarterback that could elevate their offense to the level of their defense. Enter Rivers, and all of the sudden this is a completely different team. The Broncos are already a contender, but this would probably make them the favorite to take the AFC.

To the Washington Redskins for Kirk Cousins and two future first-round picks

Cousins has an inflated stretch of turnover-free play against weak teams from 2015 boosting his overall stock, but he has hardly looked like a great quarterback in 2016. He is 15th in DVOA this season but hasn't played up to that standard. Most of his positive DVOA has come on throws to running backs -- hardly tough passes -- and to DeSean Jackson, who's often the target of boom-or-bust deep throws. Plug Rivers into this offense and Washington still has a chance to catch the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. The picks won't be as missed as they could've been, because Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan has done a great job extracting value from his later picks. And hey, when has owner Dan Snyder shied away from a ballsy win-now move?

To the Jacksonville Jaguars for Blake Bortles, a future first-round pick and a future second-round pick

Bortles threw a ton of touchdowns in garbage time last season, which led to his appearance on "youngest to throw this many touchdowns" lists with Dan Marino. But Bortles is still a mistake-prone mess, and while he has the tools to be a good starter, the Jaguars have not been able to elevate him in any material way over two-plus seasons.

So why make this hard? Gus Bradley's defense has improved this year. The AFC South is wide open for the taking, and the Jaguars are a quarterback from being able to seize on that. And desperation should be in the air for the general manager and coaching staff. Why not make a play for what you hope Bortles would become and let Rivers benefit from the Jaguars' excellent crop of young receivers?"
