if i remember right

george in 01- good season, but critical drop in playoffs led to Ray Lewis TD and loss to Ravens

Culpepper in 02- got hurt, shitty year

Faulk in 03- think he missed some games, forget the details

Vick in 04- broke leg in preseason, missed playoffs

Lewis in 05- missed several games, missed playoffs

Mcnabb in 06- injuries, beef with TO, missed playoffs

Alexander in 07- missed several games thus far


Up til 01 it was just Madden on the cover, except one year Barry Sanders shared the cover with Madden, but he retired before that season even started

So every year theres been at least something bad to happen to the Madden coverboy
