he was responding to a question about Iranian president, and suddenly black screen comes up for 5 or 6 seconds, says "CNN c-block activated" or something of that sort.

i've been watchin cnn headline news for about 4 years, never seen that happen before. what's goin on here

^^ i just read a book on fascism in europe and as I was reading it I realized that the middle east is so much worse than germany and italy were before WW2. Im really scared about the whole situation and I completely agree this.

^ and I fuckin hate him, the doesnt take away from the fact that these Islamic governments are fascist and for reasons similar to germany and italy but also for reasons alot scarier.

Common misconception: the Middle East is controlled by "theocracies".

There is a difference b/w Muslim government and Muslim religion. Generally, most separate the two fairly well. This is what I've been told by Dr. Khater, and he's from Lebanon.

And yes, Iran has a healthy democracy and is liberal compared to many other nations. Our problems with them stem more from missteps during the delecate diplomatic dance we've had going on for 27 years now than from outright hatred, although the rhetoric of the current admin. in Iran seems to say otherwise.
