computers behind the same nat

the default ports are open in the router for both computers

but the router processes the port forwards in the list from top to bottom

i tried changing the default ports in the registry editor so that they are different, changed it to the same one in the router, and i had no luck

anyone tried this sucessfully?

oh and dont tell me to use another program to do it

Did you try and restart both just to see?

I use RD and have changed my ports and I havent had this problem.

Also try to restart the router? I know it's stupid but hey I've seen some wacky things before.

do you have windows firewall on? I thought I already asked, but I guess not.

Even if you put RDP is the exceptions, you need to specify the new port it listens on.

make sure that its actually listening on those new ports.

on each computer do telnet localhost portnumber

if you get a black screen that port is open. At this point make sure you didn't set it to use a port that another program is using.

If you get a cannot connect, then its not using that port.
