i think everyone sees the carolina panthers as a north carolina team already. adding a "north" sounds weird. north carolina panthers? i don't know. if the name were to change, it should be to "charlotte panthers", but that sounds like a junior college team. leave it at carolina panthers.

^Not nearly as much as North Carolina. There are generally more transplanted yankees in SC too who are big fans of teams like the Redskins, Eagles, Steelers, Ravens, Giants, etc... I know a lot of Redskins fans who hate the Panthers just because they don't get regional coverage anymore.

Not to get off subject but I think we have just hit something on the head here. Its funny how so many yankees move down here and buy land in scenic places and they are all of a sudden part of the "Southern Culture" as they see it.

Then you end up having a bunch of people with half acre herbal gardens and calling them "farms" and rooting for the bandwagon teams....sorry, just running on a tangent

Anyways the Panthers are NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINAS team. A lot of people in NC like the cowboys and the redskins....typical winners before the panthers were around. A bunch of BS if you ask me. GO PANTHERS!!!
