Ive been looking at the different programs to do this with...does anyone have a reccomendation on the best one to use? The free-er the better :-D

It's been a while since i've used them, but i've done from DVD and from mpg files

I have used PSP video 9 http://www.pspvideo9.com

and VEMoDe http://vemode.corecodec.org/

check out http://www.psp-hacks.com - it's where i originally found these utilities and might give you more info

the vemode works for video files really well, thanks...but not for DVDs. anyone have dvd suggestions?

hmm, maybe you can use DVDShrink and then take that file and copy it over? I know i did this somehow last spring, but I can't remember...I'll poke around when I get home and see if I have other old links.

i think the trial will let you make full videos for 30 days, but i don't really remember, as i only played around with it
