may be interested, how does it do fax w/o a telephone? I'm assuming you need a separate telephone as attachment. Could I use this to fax w/o going through a computer? Thanks

^ yes, you can indeed fax without a computer...you don't need the handset unless you want to use it as a phone

so u just plug into the phone line and it can fax out and receive in? but without a handset i'm assuming it can't double as a phone? i.e. receive voice calls.

is there a speaker perhaps to act as a speakerphone?
