so i am trying to buy a car and i want some input from you guys, i will probably put 5 - 8k down and finance the rest. I want a car thats not very expensive to ensure like a 350z. New or used doesnt matter, as long as its not an amercian car.

So do you want a sedan, coupe, conv? Sports car, luxury car?

I'd say 350Z or S2000

i guess cars labeled as "sports car" are out, i wanted a 350z, but my insurance agent said my insurance would be 1800/6-months for a 350z

anything else works, luxury, sedan, coupe, SUV ..etc

those are fun to drive
especially the civic Si (high revs, lightweight, 6speed?). nowadays, Nissans are always complimented for their handling, too.

by "fun to drive" do you mean AWD/RWD? G35, 3series, wrx, evo, IS250/350

Make sure to shop around for insurance. Liberty Mutual said it'd be an extra 1k/ year to add my new truck, but geico ended up being less than $300 over what I was paying for car+bike.

Mazdaspeed 3. 268hp 155mph top speed, around $23 new. and its a 5 door hatchback should it shouldn't be bad for your insurance.

i've got a 2005 maxima - it's a fun car to drive imho - although if you were going to track it or anything on a regular basis you would want something smaller ideally - go test drive one

^ or he could get a g35 that drives better rides better looks better handles better and has a sharper turning radius

ohh and i have driven both so this isn't just a guess or a magazine read... this is 100% certified butt dyno info.

^ i agree with the pluses - the only reason to get the maxima over the g35 would be the extra room, price, and depending on whether you wanted fwd or rwd also

few people really want fwd. they either want something else, or they're just indifferent because they don't appreciate the difference.

6 speed RSX type S, or if you prefer more practical, 6 speed TSX? Those are on the less hardcore sporty side.

^ i am graduating and getting a good job, i want a car i can enjoy.

Volvo say one thing about you: "i enjoy alot of things in life, but driving aent one of them"
same applies to toyota's

I am not looking into performance as much as i am looking into looks, class and reliability
however, i wont even consider a car with less than 200 horses or a car older than a 2000

Also, i am not into modifying cars and racing, so forget about Honda Si, E36 and all those easy-to-modify cars

X5 4.4 --> 282 hp
