test 3 reading was "livy the early romans", "tiberius gracchus the republic at a crossroads", "gaius gracchus the republic continued", the revolt of spartacus", "ceasar: the man and statesman", the assasination of juilus caesar"
test three is basically about rome Monarchy Era - 753-509BC Republich Era - 509-27BC Late Republic Era - 133-27BC Empire Era - 27BC-AD330
you got etruscans and shit...then around 509bc, the romans threw out the etruscans romulus killed remus to found rome *etruscans made sewer system in the republic era...read some shit on livy and plutarch then there is some shit on the gov. then there is shit about classes of people-patricians and plebians
there are magistrates like 2 consuls, 1-8 praetors, 4 aediles-2 patrician, 2 plebian 2-20 quaestors(like the tax man)
10 tribunes to the plebs(this comes in to play later)- 2 sensors
office of dictator- named only in emergency 287bc...plebs gain access passing laws that are for all romans 1.nobilitas 2. equestrians 3. middle class 4. small farmers 5. urban poor late republic- 133-27bc tiberius gracchus was a populares(used office to get what he wanted)-helped the poor then you got the whole marius sulla thing going down
then u get down to like pompey, crassus, cicero, caesar and all those bro hams then u got the whole marcus antony thing then octavia and antony do some shit battle of actium 31bc

yeah, i just realized i made this topic about a month ago. You actually posted the readings for test 2, so I have those. If you have them for the 3rd test I'd appreciate it.
Completely forgot about the other thread or I would have just posted there again.

Final Exam format: 1st Essay-Late Republic material: a major person or problem (35 points) 2nd Essay-general Rome: could be a person or a war and if war, name people involved (25 points) Mini Essays-do 5 out of 8 given (6 points a piece?) 10 Multiple Choice Questions-from Bielkey readings about Rome/Romans 15 Matching and 10 fill in the blank from Greece and Ancient Near East Material (25 points)
Total=125 points
