It's $76 bucks shipped after discounts, all think that's worth it, and will this be a worthwhile riding jacket?

Who the hell is Spidi Mio? I'm not that experienced with motorcycle gear, but I've never even heard of them.

What type of jacket are you looking for? Daily riding, long distance riding, hard sport riding in canyons?

This makes me nervous. The thing to think about with gear is possible points of failure during slides. For instance, the reason a 1-piece suit is safer than a 2-piece is that the 1-piece doesn't have that 360 degree zipper to possibly fail.

Shielded with what? Is it the true armor foam or just extra padding?

Still, some gear is always better than no gear. I'd look at something else myself though.

^ Yep, very true. Goes for anything safety related...motorcycle gear, auto helmets/seats/harnesses, etc. All the gear I wear when canyon riding is worth about 25% of my bike's value, to give you an idea.

Spidi is fine. they're name brand.

i wouldn't be overly concerned about the sleeve zippers failing...but i have no desire to ever zip the sleeves off of my riding jacket. that's an altogether bad idea.
