everyone else does this on here, thought i would as well. made this website for a small neurofeedback company in asheville:

i'm by no means an experienced web developer, i just made this site to receive a discount on the services they provide (pretty interesting stuff). but i want them to have a good website, and so i thought i'd get a few tips from you gurus before i call it finished. 12/7/2006 9:14:01 PM |

i don't think that's a bad stab at all considering the content it's delivering...
one nitpicky thing is that i would extend the sidebar to be as long as the main page content...even if it's just white space...it would essentially "square" it off if that makes any sense.

^yeah it makes sense, i thought someone might say that. i am so anti-whitespace i went against it, but seeing how many sites have excess whitespace on the right margins, i think i'll probably end up doing that. thanks. 12/7/2006 9:29:03 PM |

switch the content panel and the navigation tabs. people read left to right. you don't need to make the whole navbar the same size as the content, either. just wrap it in with a curved edge or something.
personally, I hate scrolling, so on your longer pages i would find a way to take all of the text and make it navigable in-pane.
other than that:
fix the borders on the must-see videos
make sure there's a copyright at the bottom with contact information for the clinic
otherwise pretty good job 12/7/2006 9:51:35 PM |
