alright fucksticks, i've gotten several p/m's recently from people wanting their own thread dedicated to their video because it's the best video ever. anyway, besides the fact i'm tired of trying to get a point across by continuing to lock these, in my opinion, useless and waste of a space video threads, it seems to me more and more of you whiny bitches would rather have the ability to devote a thread to some stupid ass video. yes, some are good vids, albeit very few, and do deserve it's own thread for discussion.
so i have decided to let y'all poll on to allow video threads. this is not up for debate and arguments. i do not give a shit on why you must have your own thread for your video however a small comment is ok.

so vote yay or nay.

yay = yes, i want threads just for videos
nay = no, it's stupid as fuck and a waste of space.

now if the yay's win, these fucking video threads better not get out of hand. i've noticed that the posts in the videos thread have slacked off quite a bit which gave me the idea to allow this. so don't start posting threads with some stupid ass videos all the time or this shit will go back to the way it was.



*note* before someone brings it up, i will not change my mind on classifieds in the garage. that is what classifieds and the garage classifieds thread is for. plus, crazyj doesn't want it either.

i'd like to say NAY because everyone thinks their vid is the coolest, when rarely any of them are worth a damn.

maybe give it another try though. if things get like they were before just go back to using the thread only. if you know it's just an average video, do some self moderation and put it in the videos thread.

i'll go with an official vote of NAY.

but the vid thread is convenient when looking up old vids.

Basically if there is a decent amount of discussion about a vid then leave it out otherwise lock it and toss that botch into the vid thread.

i suggested that as well, but you are talking to a damn brick. i had video topics few pages long where people discussed the clip or went off tanget, but he would still move them in official bullshit topic.

it’s ALMOST idiot-proof concept that if video clip sucks, it will purge itself out towards the bottom of the page. If it attracts attention, obviously it will go up top. It has worked years before he became moderator, but now the small-town cop mentality primitivism has taken over.

It shouldn't be an individual thread for each video though. Use common sense...if you find a motorcycle stunting video, start a thread called "Motorcycle Stunting Vids" or something. Same for drifting, road racing, etc...that way, you can have discussion without creating TOO many threads.

It was only started for sumfoo1 if I remember correctly.

At the time he was creating a new thread here for every video he found off of turbomustangs. I (and many others) can see it both ways.

No matter which way this goes, I would like to see if a new thread is posted for some cool video or whatever, either the link to the video or the new thread gets added to the videos thread. It is nice that they are all joined together.

I also agree with ^. A lot of discussion is missing because there are no descriptions of the videos. Same with thread names. They end up being 'check this shit out' instead of something useful.
