Has anyone gone to the health center to try and get their grades changed to an incomplete? I need to know whether its worth it to go and try to get my F changed to an incomplete. 12/15/2006 12:02:07 PM |

do you have a legitimate reason why they would change it? 12/15/2006 12:04:07 PM |

I've had a couple of friends who had it done for legit reasons. If your life was completely miserable for a semester, beyond your control to fix, etc. etc., they are usually fairly accommodating. If you blew off a class and failed it (not saying you did, but for speculation), very little sympathy will come from anywhere.
[Edit] There are a LOT of things that happen if you go this route. You can't drop a single course, you have the drop the entire semester. Do your research and talk to several folks before you decide to pursue this.

Yes you can. I was in an auto accident two summers ago and had to go through hellacious therapy of a bout 7-9 doctors appointments per week during the fall semester. At the end of the semester my advisor suggested that I take a semester off or drop my current semester since I was being pushed pretty hard. I was too stubborn because I wanted to graduate on time but I went over to the Health Center to humor my advisor. I was given the opportunity to drop a couple of courses to my picking, which I did. All I had to prove was that I was not failing those courses and that my troubles would put me further behind.12/15/2006 5:57:30 PM |

my point is though, you should have some room to bargain if you have a legit excuse...if you dont then take your F gracefully and GTFO of my University 12/16/2006 5:41:48 PM |
