whenever i leave my computer off and turn it back on and click on the internet the computer restarts for some reason. It will do this about 3 or 4 times, and then it quits doing it until the next time i turn my computer off. its like the power supply has to warm up or something. I'm not real sure what the problem could be, any suggestions? 12/16/2006 12:15:23 PM |

does your power supply have one of those switches on teh back? If it does, does your power supply make noise when your computer turns off? And only restarts if you click on internet? how about some other program?

Does it actually restart, or does the computer just turn off?
If you think that the power supply needs to 'warm up', have you tried turning on the computer and letting it sit?
Are your virus definitions current?
Have you searched for malware (e.g. Ad-Aware, etc)?

try upgrading your IE to 7 or reinstalling/repairing it. Or use another browser. 12/17/2006 12:41:58 AM |

Do you have any plugins like the Yahoo or Google toolbars? If so, try removing those. 12/17/2006 1:48:04 PM |

another problem that might be related is a popup that i get a lot and the url just says "about:blank". It always freezes and brings up an error report. 12/17/2006 5:05:04 PM |
