Quote : | "One of the most underrated moments of the season: The Colts replacing an injured Brandon Stokely with Ricky Proehl. It's like they ripped through their "White WR Emergency List," couldn't lure Wayne Chrebet or Patrick Jeffers out of retirement, couldn't trade for the dude on Denver because the deadline already passed, then they were sitting around racking their brains and somebody said, "Wait a second, what about Ricky Proehl?"" |

mcconaughey wasnt bad compared to the other booth guests..
he actually proved to me that he's a sports fan.. he shut up and watched the game when there was a play, even cutting off Theisman or Korny saying that he'd finish after the play...
i'd actually take him in the booth over some of the buffoons we have to listen to on Sundays.. i had forgetten he was there until he said something = perfect 12/18/2006 10:31:56 PM |

same place we'll be when he has his worst game of the season in the playoffs...
he's the greatest regular season qb of all-time... but there IS a postseason.. 12/18/2006 10:48:58 PM |

Eli is a fucking dick, I have hated him since he sat behind me at a UT game in Manning junior year and just talked shit about how he was the best ever and could play in the SEC right then
^ dont bring that stupid ass argument up... Trent Dilfer! best QB ever!

Quote : | "Manning has made five playoff appearances in his career. Four times in those five years, he has played his very worst game of the season in the playoffs. If it happened once, it’s a bad game. When it happens twice, it’s a coincidence. When it happens three times, it’s a trend. When it happens four times, it’s simply who you are. And this is who Manning is: a guy who plays his worst games in the playoffs. Put most simply, it’s unreasonable to call a player the best quarterback in football when he reserves his worst games for the biggest moments. The single-worst statistical game of Manning’s career (a 31.2 passer rating) came in a 41-0 loss to a 9-7 Jets team in the 2002 postseason. The third-worst game of his career (35.5 rating) came in a 24-14 loss to 14-2 New England in the 2003 postseason." |

but the thing is, he could win one, and people would be like "he should win two! or three" or would be like "bah, no big deal, ANNNYONE can win it with Harrison, Wayne etc"
People just love to hate the good guy. When he does good, its because "its expected", when he does bad "he sucks"
and once again, you give Manning the defense Brady has had for the last 5-6 years, and I have no doubt he would have won at least one SB, no doubt

I think its fair to say he hasnt played well in the playoffs.
Im gonna let the '02 game slide as most first time playoff QB's stink. Look at Roethlisberger for gods sake he blew after playing pretty well all season.
the '03 game against the Patriots i mean they had one of the better defenses of all time that year and they played at new england in bad weather.
last year pittsburgh absolutely threw the kitchen sink at the Colts and they couldnt pick up the blitzes. There really wasnt much he could do id put that game on the Colts coaching staff for not continuing to run the football when they were straight KILLING them with Edgerrin James.
He needs to put it together this year. But it helps to remember that opposing QB's are playing against the Colts defense and that Manning has to try to score a lot of points just to give the Colts a chance. He cant afford to be a "game manager" and punt the football away all game 12/18/2006 11:01:17 PM |

no way they win it this year with their shitty ass run defense, no way, Manning could be perfect every game and still wouldnt do it 12/18/2006 11:03:32 PM |

Im not saying they have to win the super bowl im saying he needs to play well in the playoffs.
he cant go out there and put up a 180 yards, 3 INT performance anymore or he's really gonna deserve the labels he's getting. 12/18/2006 11:06:30 PM |
