Hey....my mom turned my little brothers ps2 on its side and he tried to tell her that she ruined it and it is broken or skipping or some mess like that because she turned it on its side while it had a disc in it. im gonna go ahead and guess that this is nonsense...any prevalence to what he is trying to say? 12/18/2006 10:35:54 PM |

If you move it while there is a disc in it, it can scratch the disk, but it wont break the console. 12/19/2006 8:57:52 AM |

i wouldn't move it while it was running, but other than that there isn't any problem with it.... 12/19/2006 9:10:24 AM |

One time, I accidentally tripped over the controller cord and sent my PS2 flying across the room... it was an entertaining event.
P.S. It still works fine. 12/19/2006 9:35:43 AM |

No, she didn't break it. Get her to point out the fact that all PS2's came with a stand so that it could sit on it's side. Only the disc can get damaged and that's if it's a real bump. 12/20/2006 7:32:14 AM |

pretty sure its in the ribbon or line that connects the board to the laser...was workin ok then starting gettin disc read errors, cleaned the lens worked the motor a lil and it worked again fine for a few days, now when i open it the laser wont even light or move and the tray wont budge either.

No, she didn't break it. That's a feature that comes standard on all Sony products. 12/22/2006 2:06:04 PM |
