I got a Sony DVD Home Theater system for Christmas, and am trying to hook everything up properly. I have a Cable Box, VCR and PS2 also.
Prior to having the Home Theater, I had the cable box and PS2 connected into the VCR, with the VCR connecting to the TV.
I have tried two different configurations with the DVD Home Theater. First, I hooked up the DVD Home Theater into the VCR. Using this hookup, the DVD Player works properly with the surround sound, but you cannot use the surround sound for Television or PS2.
The second time I have hooked the DVD Home Theater into the Cable Box. Now the Surround Sound works for Television, but you cannot play DVD's properly and the surround sound still does not work for PS2.
I was wondering if anyone had some advice on how to best hook up all of these components to get full functionality. I was thinking that possibly buying one of those RF converters would help, but was hoping to avoid any additional purchases.
