I'm trying to decide on a discount brokerage: TD Waterhouse, schwab, fidelity, etc. Any recommendations on the brokerage with high value and lack of hidden fees is appreciated. 1/3/2007 10:17:13 AM |

i use etrade, it's like 12.95 for a stock trade but they have lots of no transaction-fee mutual funds that pay nice dividends. I can move money as often as i like into those (although you have to wait three months to withdraw it) 1/3/2007 10:21:54 AM |

they are no load, no transaction fee funds, you can buy as much as you want anytime and then withdraw it after three months with no fees. They will charge you like 50 bucks if you take it out earlier than three months, but i don't plan to do that.
plus you get some decent freebies for opening an account with them. i recommend that if you want to buy stock early on when you get the promotional rates and then buy the mutual funds later.
