I've never really used either, but I'm trying to get this web-calendar GPL thing working on our office's site and I have a basic understanding of programming.
I THINK cgi is enabled on this server, but when I load the files in the webbrowser, all the *.pm and *.cgi files open as text. Am I missing a link in one of the files to the server's perl file or is this a good sign that I don't have CGI privelages? Instead of opening the application/script, it goes to the directory and shows the list of files-- where upon clicking each-- I only get the code as text.
I would post the link, but I'm not entirely sure ppl on here wouldn't take the opportunity to attempt to exploit it if I've accidentally done something dumb. 1/5/2007 4:11:22 PM |

actually i'm pretty positive it's secure, because it's professionally hosted, but I just don't want to open it up to tww traffic
ps my login to the sftp lets me go anywhere on the server, so I made sure it has perl installed 1/5/2007 4:29:37 PM |
