Which coach do you think will be the first to have gameday come during their tenure, O'Brien or Lowe? I'm anxious to see College Gameday and all the excitement that it brings to come to State like it did for the Miami game in 2004. Hopefully with better results though.

football since they decide during the season based on the best matchups

in basketball they decide before the season starts

and they'll always go to duke and carolina so that leaves us out most likely

^^^not if we win a NC and have solid recruiting classes. Wake Forest was headed in that direction but they lost too much talent to the NBA and didnt have any recruits

we'll never see Gameday here for football again while we have the 4 hour tailgate restrictions in place.

they did for the Gameday for the Miami game. i remember this b/c people were wondering if the tailgate restrictions that were put in place that year would be removed due to Gameday being here. the tailgating restrictions tried to be implemented soon after the shooting, but weren't very successful. many people would show up way before the restricted hours but found little to no opposition. when they were strictly enforced and implemented this past year is when everyone became mad.

well they couldn't close the lots that day. We had sportscenter taping the night before, Gameday saturday morning, then the Red/White basketball game and then the football game. And oh yeah, the state fair was here so the lots were just straight up open all day that day.

^^^ yeah they definitely weren't enforced that year. we pretty much got there at 8:00a.m. for every game and never got any pushback.

EASILY the longest 30+ hours of my life, starting with the sportscenter taping and ending with the game ending close to 1 sunday morning. we started tailgating at 8 that saturday morning and with all that went on that day i was about to die 5 min after hester took back that opening kickoff.

We play Louisville at home this year correct? If that's the case then we might be able to get Gameday here for this upcoming football season, considering they are one of the favorites to win the national championship b/c Brohm is returning and may be a top 5 team when we face them.

^Only if we are competitive. If we're 0-4 or something like that, then they aren't coming here.

we won't get gameday this year or next year. We need to go atleast 8-4 consistently each year.

in basketball that year with williams, paul etc. but i forgot that we beat them in the ACC tourney that year. but i think if chris paul and williams would have stayed another year they would have had a shot.

looks like it might be a thursday night game...

i'd say football would get it first... obviously we still have to contend with unc/duke media strength for the state and acc.............. and yea you and i and all of us love our basketball team and have fun at the games... but our football atmosphere and fans are so much stronger relative to that sport and thats a big factor for gameday
