For anyone who has had this class...what are his tests like? So far all he does is like 1,000 different proofs that he says he messes up on like 50 times and I have no clue what I NEED to learn from what he is teaching and what stuff I just can forget.

That class was awesome. I think the rsa stuff was my fav. He'll have some qustions directly off the homework with some numbers changed. Make sure you can do every hw question he has assigned thus far. Go over your notes and swing by his office. He'll work through any problem with you.

dont know was rsa is and we havent had ne hw assignments yet. and all i know is that on the first day of class, the first thing he goes is..."this class is filled to capacityyyyyyyyyyy"

know the homeworks - thats the best advice you'll get ... they can be hard, but put the time in on them and dont be afraid to see him during office hours. i really liked kaltofen - had him for 305 and 410. and as mentioned, he does like cryptography - its one of the more interesting parts of the class.
