he took like one dribble from just inside of half court

I watched the replay in slow-mo just to see if he walked...he did not. It always looks like he does but there were only 2 steps there.

running at full speed taking huge strides means you can go a pretty long way in very few steps

he caught the ball at half court and dribbled once, then dribbled just before the 3pt line, then took 2 full strides and took off from the second step

just watched again, and he took 3 steps

if you count the step directly after the dribble at the 3-pt line

I caught quite a few travels from all sorts of folks.

But a lot of what I--and many others--see as walking is just a sign of our poor to average athleticism. We could never imagine doing that with a ball so of course it has to be a travel...

And I'm suggesting that, yes, walking goes without call plenty of times, but sometimes regular folks cry walking because they just can't fathom the athleticism that it takes to make certain moves.

"Oh, he walked..." is really just, "Oh, he moved a large distance and he only put the ball down once so he must have walked."

^^agreed, you have to count steps from where he picks up his dribble, not from where he puts his last dribble down.
