If you need more calculators, write a letter to local businesses asking if they would donate a new calculator or the money for one. We are in the same situation at our school and the math department sent some letters out and we got 14 calculators donated. Plus we now have $500 from a local club to spend on calculators but we are trying to figure out how to maximize the number of calculators we will get for that money.

Currently, we don't have enough calculators to allow each teacher to have his/her own class set. The principal just agreed to let us buy 35 new ones this past week, but that isn't enough.
