he's trying to say that the media would not come down as hard on a black QB as they are on grossman...basically implying that they're too afraid to do so because the journalist would be chastised as racist, because that how rush thinks things work in society, which to a degree they do but not in this situation...

Rush is too chicken shit to say this though, so he has to say it indirectly by saying we hate him because he's white (the converse is we would love him if he was black).

I thought what he said about McNabb was partially true. He might be right. Media are probably less likely to come down on a black quarterback. That may very well be true. But Rex sucked and deserved it, so his theory isn't applicable.

Grossman isn't nearly as bad as people are making him out to be. Anyone remember the first half of the season where the bears were putting up huge numbers and everyone was all on his jock? Dude is in his first full year as a pro and he hit the wall, plain and simple. Cut him some slack. Kid still helped that team to the super bowl.

Hey, I never said he was an elite QB, but he's young. I just think it's funny how fast people are jumping on the "worst qb ever" bandwagon. He's not great, but if he only gets better, that's a pretty decent NFL quarterback, right? Needs to work on decision making, but that comes with maturity.
