Speaking as a licensed Ham Radio Operator I have to ask on which bands do you want to transmit? Please understand the term "Shortwave" is usually used for receive only (ie: listening to BBC, Deutsche Welle, etc) ...if you are speaking of HF ("High Frequency") you are most likely going to need to pass a few tests and become a licensed Ham...good thing is that there is no longer a Morse Code requirement for Ham Radio...you just have to pass some Electronics based tests...I would suggest a couple of websites:
http://www.qrz.com/
and
http://www.radioreference.com
I am the forum moderator in the NC Forum for Radioreference.com...lots of good info at that site...PM me if you have further questions... 2/13/2007 6:28:12 PM |
