Is there a screenshot of them listing their high schools in the games rather than UNC? Or some way to prove it? I have a non-believer on my hands.

You have friends who aren't willing to believe which schools recruits attended?

That shit is wildly advertised.

No screen shot necessary.

[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:22 AM. Reason : Your friends are fucking stupid.]

no, the players tell what school they played. The most obvious is to tell your college. However Willie Parker and Julius Peppers list their High School instead of UNC. Pretty big smack in the face to UNC Football.

they mean instead of repping their college in intros they rep their high school

I know willie parker did it, but I've never seen pep do it

There's a whole new world to me.

Apparently you have to prove that someone played at your college to...prove that they played there and that they weren't just doing it to "rep their high school" and move on to the pros?

This is fucking retarded.

(I save retarded for truly stupid shit.)

or they could have done it just to be funny, lots of players do it, I never took it as them being "anti-college"

If someone played for you, they played for you. End of fucking story.

There's no point in trying to find footage so you can prove someone "truly played" for you.

I'm not gonna get off on the fact that JP didn't list UNC or some shit. I've got better things to do than add up player loyalty. We all know the deal with UNC.

when fox/cbs do intros to nfl games, the players generally say their names and the college they went to on tv

in the case of willie parker since he never played and was a bench rider at unc, he says his high school name instead of repping unc

[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:42 AM. Reason : like saying fuck you unc for not playing me, im starting in the pros]

parker does say his high school name instead of UNC. Peppers does not say anything about UNC. He just says his name and thats it. Don't know why Peppers does it but I think its funny.

They have said Julius was from Wilson/Baily most of the time.

Anyway, he went to Hunt High School. Class of 1999 I think. Saw him play back in the day.

Peppers is from BAILEY, NC (Nash County)

He went to Southern Nash High School and graduated in 1998.

He was my neighbor for 18 years/classmate and teammate for 3 years.

Peppers played for Southern Nash High school, and he laid the toughest hit on me that I've ever taken during my senior year game against them.

he played mostly Tight End and Running back in our match against them, and he was a much better tight end because of the size mismatch. He played both sides of the ball and was a defensive end for almost the entire game on defense though.

^true, I only remember him playing RB and Special Teams for the few games I played w/ him (I went back and forth from JV to Varsity in 10th grade)

Bottomline: Peppers > Chuck Norris in football
