Still looking for a roommate in a 2br/2ba apartment south of campus. It's in Ivy Commons just off of Avent Ferry. Really a great place for students to live. Just close enough to campus that you can walk and just far away enough that you don't have to deal with a bunch of idiots keeping you from studying/sleeping at night.

Rent is $300 per month, utilities will generally not exceed $125 per month.

Pets aren't allowed (I don't own this apartment, I need someone to resign the lease with me so I don't have to move ), no smokers please, no drug users either.

The apartment itself is in good condition overall. We have a stove/range, dishwasher, stacked washer/dryer unit (does its job well), fridge. This is a ground floor apartment so we get a pretty large patio with brick privacy wall instead of a balcony (the patio is on the sunny side too). Your bedroom would be bedroom 2 on this floorplanhttp://www.apnewhomes.com/raleighrental/3d_fp2.jpg). Your bathroom is attached and entirely private, and the closets are fairly large. There's plenty of storage if you've got stuff to keep (big coat closet, lots of shelves, and room off to the side for bikes and such). My neighbors right now are good and we've had no problems the whole time we've lived here. The interior is a little bland (beige carpet, white walls, stained wood trim), and the carpet needs a steam cleaning which it will get this summer just before you move in (I'm going to do it myself). Parking is good here, as you get one pass for yourself and one guest pass. There's always a spot to park up near the apartment. Maintenance is good, all problems were fixed within a week (never had an emergency so I don't know how they respond to those). We've had no bug problems besides the odd spider or ant (no recurring problems), and the apartment is insulated fairly well with all-brick construction (One door has a draft but I've got something setup to block it).

As for myself, I'm a junior in Civil Engineering, and usually either work on homework, play video games (or I'm not here). I keep up after myself pretty well and tend to be a pretty nice guy (though I will be pretty quiet/stoic if my diabetes if giving me trouble; but being quiet is better than being a douche, right?). And about the whole guy/girl roommate thing, I don't really care. I just need a roommate! I don't want to move. As far as other concerns, drinking and having friends over doesn't bug me. As far as school goes I would be happy to help or accomodate my roommate's needs whenever they come up. For instance if I'm playing a game and you need stuff quiet so you can study, I'll go off and do something quiet like read or play a handheld game or something. If you're taking the same stuff I'm taking or have taken I can help you out when I have time. I try to help out if my roommate is in need and I'm in any position to provide help. Basically I try to be a good friend and a good roommate.

Oh, as far as the move-in goes, I need to know if you're interested soon. We'd have to resign the lease by may, and I have to notify the renters of my intent to stay/leave then as well. I'd be happy to help you move in when I have the time. If you don't live too far away now, I've got a Jeep Cherokee SUV I can help you move with. It's not huge inside but two people with two cars can move faster than one person with one car.

Please shoot me a PM or e-mail me at ablong@ncsu.edu if you're interested! I'd be happy to answer any questions and show you the apartment some time. This is really an optimal place to live for anyone still in school, and I honestly think I make a great roommate.
