That's the tell-tale sign you're getting old.

That and the fact that when I turn 25 this summer I'll have to concede the fact of being in my mid-twenties

Suspension of disbelief can last atleast to 29… and I’ve been listening to NPR regularly since I was 18.

I realized I was old when a lot of the kids in my class at school have no recollection of gas prices being around $1.

^You know you are old when you are starting to forget that.

I remember being able to stop the pump on the exact dollar amount I wanted by simply easing up on how fast I was pumping gas.

The concept of this thread is absurd.

but that's comming from someone who exclusively listens to sports/news talk radio exclusively since md-way through my teens.

2 things have made me feel old[er]:

- all of the freshman look like 12 year olds

- my bf's little brother's friends (who are 16-17) were amazed that i was old enough to have received a NES for xmas the year it came out, and that i played an atari all the time at a friend's house...they said, "whoa, you're old"

60 is supposed to be the new 40 when you start approaching that age. Hopefully can retire comfortably for 40 years at that age. Otherwise, you are as old as you feel.

it's a talent now

I started feeling old when I heard a song I LOVED in high school on the radio. I turned it up and sang along ... until they announced they were an oldies station

I catch NPR sometimes on the road about when the radio goes out and I turn to the scan button

if its a subject that interests me, I listen; if not, the scan keeps going.

I listen to NPR on the way to work in the morning, and whenever I'm tired of hearing the same 3-4 songs on the radio for the millionth time.

the benchmark test for getting old is watching the news and seeing that the local news anchors look like they just graduated high school. that happened the other day, and it sucked.

Consumer Reports is awesome, but yeah it is definitely an "adult" thing.

I think I realized I had grown up when Lowes and Home Depot became my favorite stores. When I was a kid, I hated when my dad took me into those places, but now it's like a candy store

Wasn't that the theme of their recent fund raising drive? Listener's testimonials of how they were always saying that to their friends so they felt obligated to contribute.

you're old when after listening to NPR for a couple of years to get a different viewpoint on issues than your own you abandon that crap and just stick to conservative talk radio

On my drive home to Raleigh on Fridays I will sometimes put it on Boortz just to hear the insanity and hatred that he spews and I tend to listen to Brad & Britt in the morning because they do a consistant amount of local coverage. I just can't stand all of the commercial breaks.

I listen to NPR podcasts, namely "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," but it's mostly too liberal for me. My favorite is the BBC.

yea, NPR is pretty liberal. It's easy for me to disregard it because I'm liberal too. Wait wait pissed me off this weekend talking shit about Paris Hilton. The is a good person: her fucking alot is distasteful but it's her own choice and isn't harming anyone. That judge probably gave her jail time because Martha Stewart tolerated it like a cowardly BITCH. I hope Paris leaves the country or something like that.

^^She's going to jail because she violated her probation, twice. I'd be going to jail if I did what she did. She's an airhead. It's not that she thinks the rules don't apply to her, it's that she just doesn't think.
