I'm trying to find a list of cars that these rims fit. I just used lexus as an example.

5x120 is a bmw bolt pattern. very few, if any, other vehicles use this. That width and offset looks to work with 1997-2003 5 series and 1994-2001 7 series. They also work on the front of the current 5 and 7 series, but are too narrow for use on the rear.

5x114 is way too common to list everything it may fit there.

^ does it have 5 or 10 holes? that would be the first indication of a dual pattern wheel

If it's those wheels you got with your 540, if I remember correctly, they were dual pattern.

114mm is the same as 4.5" bolt circle. A blue bajillion cars came with this pattern including both foreign and domestic. The only difference is the offset.

Isn't the 120mm pattern indigenous to German cars only? you did say BMW...and I remember that Volkswagen used a 4x120mm pattern at one time.

after the bmw shift in the late 90's quite a few land rovers take 5x120, it also happens to be real damn close to 5x4.75 i think...

yeah a lot of people run S10 steelies on late model discoveries and ranges. i could probably bolt rover 18 in wheels on the cutlass if i could get the right lugnuts.
