Whenever I leave my computer on and go away for a few hours, I lose my internet connection. I come back and I've been kicked off AIM, and any other online programs I had up. It never kicks me off when I'm on it though. Any idea why it does that?
BTW, ive got it set to first go to my screensaver, then hibernation mode after an hour. It's a vaio.

hibernation shuts everything down, including network devices.

try standby or just let it go to screen saver and then turn off the monitor/lcd after 20 minutes.
