Anyone know of a really good yet inexpensive place for sending off a bunch of PDF files that i need printed in color (photo quality) and bound to a hard back. Very similar to the apple iphoto hard back photo albums but of course, not through apple because you cannot submit your own work only their templates.
the job is a portfolio/press kit for the fashion industry with lots of images of the designs/models and media exposure etc... 3/26/2007 10:32:19 AM |

Don't thank me, I learned about that place from TWW. Someone around here is involved in its operation. 3/26/2007 3:50:09 PM |

ok i need that kind of print quality. lulu.com doesn't seem to be what i'm looking for. They are more like apple where you just drag and drop images into a template and they print it for you. I need someone that i can just send my pdf/psd files to and they can print it in the same quality and bind it like that.

i've used printers in dallas and toronto for cheap but that's because we know them and get stuff discounted and we print in bulk - it's too costly for them to do small quantities
how many would you be printing? 3/28/2007 10:57:17 AM |

lulu.com does this that. I don't understand your problem?
Try using the paperback option and not the photobook option.3/28/2007 11:00:28 AM |

^^i'll be needing to print 70 catalogs and not sure the exact amount for portfolios.
i'd also need them printed by next week so i can overnight them to NYC for a fashion show.
^needs to be the quality of a photobook. glossy finish, thick paper stock etc.

^^how? this isn't a small job. This has to be professional because its being sent out to all the leading fashion magazines and showrooms in NYC. Already landed with Elle and a few other magazines so we're shooting for bigger names. 3/28/2007 9:19:25 PM |
