I know a lot of people get airline miles on their credit cards and never go anywhere; a friend of mine and I are trying to go to England this summer, and we would be willing to buy your miles. Anyone?

you should just plan ahead and start looking for flights 3-4 months before you plan on going. im flying to germany in may for only 400 bucks, it took me 2 months of looking before i found a price that good.
i also have 10,000 miles with delta, dont have any clue on how much that is worth or how much you need for a flight to europe.

I think I have about 20,000 United miles. How much are you willing to pay for that?

I know its not 50,000 miles to europe, so are these more like pseudo-"miles" that don't actually mean the distance you can fly?

I'm not too worried about two tickets, I need to at least get one; my friend and I can add the cost of our tickets and split it later if we have to. I don't know how miles work, and I don't even know if you are allowed to buy a ticket for someone else with them. I've never had miles, and if you have them you're going to have to figure it out I guess, but if you can get me a 2-way ticket to an airport in england, I'll pay you 400 cash.

By any airline or number of stops necessary, except I want to leave June 5th and come back June 12th.

you can use miles for anyone - in general points are generally worth a penny per mile - you'd have to pay me more than 400 - mainly due to the large amount of taxes paid for flights to london

If you don't have enough for a whole ticket, I'll have to get miles from more than one person. So that I can see whose miles I can combine with whose, please post what airlines your miles are for when you say how many you have.

As for buying miles, I'm looking to pay $400 total; i.e. if the flight is going to cost 50k miles, I'll give you $200 for 25k. Because on top of all that, I'll still have another 100 to pay in taxes apparently. It would be ideal if I could get whole tickets, and I'd pay you for the total plus the tax: 500.
