So i used the Disk Cleanup tool and when it rebooted, it goes to the "Windows did not start successfully" screen...with the options to start Windows normally, start with last known good configuration, or start in safe mode. None of these options work and just prompts the startup cycle again. Any ideas? 4/8/2007 8:08:33 PM |

currupted files? Get Hirens Boot CD and run a surface scan of your disks. You could also see if you can get CHKDSK to run with a windows boot disk or maybe do a repair option of windows. 4/8/2007 9:18:45 PM |

a cold boot (boot from off state) may fix the issue..
I had a ntldr missing errror after updating a driver, but a cold boot brought windows back up. 4/8/2007 9:53:13 PM |
