I have a Takamine Acoustic Electric w/ case...I really like it, but I never have time to play. I'll sell it with the case and an electric tuner for $275. Let me know if you are interested.

^Thanks but too expensive for me

What's the difference between a V50 and a v300? I saw a v50 for about $99 new somewhere online.

The V50 is a "starter guitar" meaning it's made out of paper mache and spit. Seriously, if you're even moderately serious about playing guitar get yourself something that will produce a clean sound, stay in tune, and not fall apart. You're not going to find anything even decent for less than $250 new in my opinion.

Just fucking go to Sam Ash or Guitar Center and tell them what you wrote here, honestly, ordering off the internet is a crap shoot. I got a cheap acoustic one time from 'Musician's Friend,' and when it came the neck was so warped that the strings were always touching frets and it was unplayable. And they wouldn't pay for return shipping until I put up a fight too.

yea... it works like this. If you get a good guitar ($200+) you'll want to play it because when you do play it you'll sound nice. If you get the $80 guitar it will come with warps, cheapo strings, and will be about impossible to keep in tune. Which in turn makes you not want to play.

As in all things, if you're serious you just need to dive in and spend the cash. If you have a nice one and don't like it you're much more likely to resell it for something decent and cut losses instead of just putting it in the trash.

BTW, a Takamine A/E is a fantastic guitar. If you serious, talk Joel into a deal, play a few weeks and get a little better, then take it to a luthier to have it setup just the way you want it.

Hope this helps, ~Matt
